Live Event Tech Tips

  • Use two devices. Plan to watch the live event on your computer, TV, or tablet and use a mobile device for bidding.

Auction Terms of Sale

By bidding at Great Futures Gala & Auction, each bidder agrees to these auction terms:

 

  1. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted. All items are sold “as is.” Boys & Girls Clubs of King County has attempted to describe and catalog items accurately, but neither warrants nor represents, and in no event shall be responsible for, the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items. No description written, stated orally, or depicted visually shall be deemed a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.
  2. Payment in full for items purchased must be made before items can be picked up unless otherwise arranged with Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. Accepted forms of payment include cash, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, or a check made payable to Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. Payment via stock may also be arranged.
  3. All purchasers must pick up their items at the Mercer Island Boys & Girls Club by Thursday, October 28, unless special arrangements are made with Boys & Girls Clubs of King County. Items will not be delivered to the winning bidder unless otherwise specified. Any item left unclaimed, without prior arrangements, will be considered donated back to Boys & Girls Clubs and are subject to use in future auctions.
  4. If buyers request items to be shipped, the buyers assume all costs of any shipping requested.
  5. Boys & Girls Clubs of King County reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction.
  6. Restaurant certificates do not include alcohol, tax, or gratuities unless specified.
  7. Reservations for all trips, hotels, parties and similar events must be mutually arranged with the donor unless otherwise specified. 
  8. Unless otherwise specified, all gift certificates expire on October 23, 2022.
  9. The auction item value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted. The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax adviser to clarify the amount of deduction.
  10. Each bidder assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold Boys & Girls Clubs of King County harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Great Futures Gala & Auction, the organization’s employees, the auctioneer, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers.
